田东县位于桂西中部,总面积2816 km~2,境内崇山峻岭,绵延不断。由于山高岭陡,滩多水急,落差大,蕴藏着丰富的水能资源。实施小水电代燃料工程,有利于加快县内中小河流的治理开发和山区建设,促进水资源的综合开发和可持续利用,提高水利为农业、农村和农民服务的能力,巩固县内退耕还林生态建设成果。同时,还可拉动内需,带动相关产业的发展,加快田东县经济发展的步伐。
