新军作为晚清政府仿照西方编练的一支近代化军队,在辛亥革命的浪潮中成为推翻王朝统治的主要力量,随后在社会动荡中沦为军阀割据的工具,一步步走向衰亡。新军的兴衰演变带给我们深刻的启示:军事体制的改革必须与国家体制的改革相一致;必须加强军队的现代化建设;坚持全心全意为人民服务的宗旨;坚持党对军队的绝对领导。
As a modern army modeled by the government in the late Qing Dynasty, the New Army became the main force to overthrow dynastic rule in the tide of the Revolution of 1911, and subsequently became a tool of separatist warlords in the social turmoil and gradually went to decline. The rise and fall of the new army has brought profound revelations to us: the reform of the military system must be consistent with the reform of the state system; the army must be modernized; its purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly; and the party’s absolute leadership over the army.
