In 2007 and June and August 2008, four voyage surveys were conducted on the species composition and number distribution of fish eggs and larvae in Laizhou Bay using a large plankton net. The results showed that 11271 fish eggs were collected, belonging to 4 orders, 15 families and 22 species (excluding 2 unidentified species); 2,942 larvae, belonging to 4 orders, 9 families and 12 species (excluding 2 Unnamed species). June was the main spawning period for most fish in Laizhou Bay. There were 25 species of fish eggs and juveniles, and the dominant species of fish and eggs were Clupanodon punctatus and Coilia mystus. The dominant larvae Fungi, barracuda (Mugil soiuy) and spot-based. Fewer spawning fish in August collected only 15 kinds of eggs and larvae, while dominant species were Lateolabrax japonicus. The distribution of fish eggs and larvae was uneven. The areas around the Yellow River, Guangli River and Lao Mi River Estuary were large, but the number of the central waters of Laizhou Bay was small. The results of SPSS software showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the number of fish eggs and the content of ammonium in the larvae (r = 0.438,0.604, P <0.01), but negatively correlated with salinity and transparency (r = -0.343, -0.329 , P <0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between the number of larvae and the content of ammonium in the surface layer of fish eggs (r = 0.438,0.536, P <0.01), and no significant correlation with other environmental factors (P> 0.05).
