一大清早,邻居就兴致勃勃地对我讲起了他们家的小客人:“昨晚上我那小外孙从四川来了。嗨,这小家伙也真有意思!我们屋里不是有张小圆桌吗?他一来就扒在上面又是量、又是写的,忙个不仃。我问:‘你干嘛呢?’你猜他说什么?他说:‘外公,我帮您算算桌子的面积!’我一听惊奇了,心想:才五岁的小孩就要算圆面积,能行吗?就说:‘刚下火车挺累的,快歇会儿吧,别胡闹了!’‘胡闹?我才不是胡闹呢!’他的小咀巴都噘得快要挂住油壶啦!我说:‘那好,我问问你:圆面积怎么算?’他随口就回答:‘半径乘半径乘π’。我又问:‘π等于多少?’‘三点一四。’一会儿,他就把圆桌的面积计算出来了,我一看,嘿!还真算对了呢!接着我又问了梯形、三角形的面积和周长的计算方法,他都熟练地回答出来了。这个事儿你看新鲜不?”
