巴黎凯旋门位于法国巴黎的戴高乐广场中央,是拿破仑·波拿巴为纪念奥斯特利茨战争的胜利于1806年下令兴建的。凯旋门高约50米,宽约45米,厚约22米。四面各有一门,门上有许多精美的雕刻。内壁刻的是曾经跟随拿破仑东征西讨的数百名将军的名字和宣扬拿破仑赫赫战功的上百个胜利战役的浮雕。外墙上刻有取材于1792~1815年间法国战史的巨幅雕
The Arc de Triomphe in Paris is located in the center of de Gaulle Square in Paris, France and was built in 1806 by Napoleonic Bonaparte in honor of the Austerlitz War. Arc de Triomphe is about 50 meters high, 45 meters wide and about 22 meters thick. There is one door on each side and many beautiful carvings on the door. Inscribed on the inner wall are the names of hundreds of generals who have followed Napoleon’s expedition and the reliefs of hundreds of victories to promote the exploits of Napoleon. The exterior wall is carved with huge sculptures drawn from the French war history between 1792 and 1815
