韩美林是当代中国画坛一位功力非凡、造诣颇深,且绘画风格独特的著名画家,这位60年代初毕业于中央工艺美术学院的高材生,在1979年就当选为中国美术家协会理事,1986年晋升为国家一级美术师,1987年又被授予国家级优秀专家。自1980年起,他的绘画作品就飞向大洋彼岸,分别在美国、加拿大等十八个国家和港、台等地区巡回展出,在国际上掀起了一股“韩美林热”。纽约曼哈顿把1980年10月10日定为“韩美林日”,圣地亚哥市又赠其金钥匙一
Han Meilin is a famous painter of extraordinary skill, profound attainments and unique style of painting in the contemporary Chinese painting society. In 1960, he graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts and was elected as a director of the Chinese Artists Association in 1979.
