PID(Packet Identifier)是包识别码的意思。由于数字电视信号是按MPEG-2/DVB标准,将视/音频信号经数字化后,再与数据信号进行压缩编码,形成PES包,然后再将PES包转换成长度为188字节的传送包TP。这个l88字节的TP包代表是每帧画面的信息量,在188字节中,有3个字节用来表示包开始前缀,1个字节用来表示包标识,2个字节用来表示PES包的包长度,剩下的才是实时压缩的活动图像和声音等可变的PES包。
