在湖南省政协的8个委员会中,民族和宗教委员会是就民族和宗教问题开展调研、向党委和政府建言献策的一个机构。由于机构的职能和掌握的资源不同,政协民族工作的开展与政府民族工作开展在方式上有一定的区别。本刊就政协如何开展民族工作采访了湖南省政协民宗委主任李壮丽。调研“求大同,不雷同,有特色”“我们政协民宗委一共有50位委员,1位主任,11位副主任。我们的委员是政协8个委员会当中界别最多的,10位兼职副主任也是由各个单位的领导担任。”李壮丽认为,民族工作是一项牵动全局性的工作,而不是一个部门、一个机构的工作。
