平地机用于筑路、抄平边坡、平整路肩、挖沟、路面成形、粗修精修坡度、填平和精整运动场和飞机滑行场、精整黑色路面、扫雪等作业。根据17年来长期使用各种平地机的经验,认为评价一台平地机的性能,有以下几方面:(1)重量分布是影响一台平地机的牵引力、生产能力、在较快的速度下准确地控制平地刀板的关键。如果前半部分布的重量太轻,就不能获得机器总重所应该获得的足够的牵引力。所以必须以平地机作为一个整体,将重量作合理完善的分布,但这与在平地机前后另加配重是两回事。
