从改进STN-LCD的驱动方法出发,讨论了STN-LCD视频图象显示的可能性,分析了几种行函数的选择对图象特性的影响。经过实验验证,在背景图象相同的情况下,用主动寻址法驱动,并选择与STN-LCD响应特性匹配的行函数,能大大降低帧响应和交叉干扰,显著提高亮度和对比度,使STN-LCD适于视频图象显示,且质量接近TFT-LCD。
Starting from improving the driving method of STN-LCD, the possibility of STN-LCD video image display is discussed. The influence of several kinds of row function selection on image characteristics is analyzed. The experimental verification shows that under the same background image, driving with active addressing method and selecting the row function matching with the response characteristic of STN-LCD can greatly reduce the frame response and cross interference, significantly improve the brightness and contrast, and make the STN -LCD suitable for video image display, and the quality close to the TFT-LCD.
