METHODS: Sixty-two patients receiving chemotherapy for the first time were surveyed using a self-designed questionnaire, including a survey of the cognitive status of adverse reactions and the need for health education. RESULTS: Twenty-six percent of patients were aware of the adverse effects of chemotherapy. Eighty-one percent of them chose health education for individual guidance by healthcare professionals, followed by science manuals (77%) and lectures (58%).
