盐田出入境检验检疫局配备了专业技术人员,完善了检疫查验设备设施,不断改进检疫查验手段,依法对出入境船舶、人员实施检疫查验。2003—2007年,盐田出入境检验检疫局检疫查验出入境船舶87123艘次,人员857419人次,卫生处理船舶4485艘次,医学排查人员3人次,有效地防止了传染病通过出入境船舶、人员传入传出,保证了盐田港出入境船舶卫生安全。
