前些日子,社区选举委员会在家门口贴出公告,说社区要进行居委会换届选举了,希望每户居民都积极到居委会办公室进行选民登记。作为城市社区的一个居民,一个长期关注研究农村基层民主的学者,也一直非常关注社区的民主。本打算作为一个选民参加投票选举,亲身体验城市直接民主的滋味。不巧的是,因出差在外,错过了选民登记的时间。幸运的是,投票日是在周末,在家门口,我有幸亲眼目睹了北京市朝阳区小关街道高原街社区第一次居委会直选。
A few days ago, the community election committee posted an announcement at the front of the house saying that the community should hold the general election for the neighborhood committee. It is hoped that residents in each household will actively register with the residents’ committees in the office. As a resident of an urban community, a longtime scholar who studies grassroots democracy in rural areas has always been very concerned about community democracy. This plan intends to vote as an electorate, personal experience of the taste of direct democracy in the city. Unfortunately, the time for voter registration was missed because of business trips. Fortunately, the polling day is at the weekend, at the door of the house, I was fortunate to have witnessed the direct election of the neighborhood committee for the first time in Gaoyuan Street, Xiaoguan Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing.
