1995年3月初,一场无情的森林火灾吞嗌了孔繁森式的好干部、陕西凤县坪坎乡党委书记兼乡长田建国的生命。田建国的死,引起广大干部群众极大的反响,关于他的事迹在社会上不径而走、广为流传。 陕西省委宣传部、宝鸡市委宣传部决定将田建国的事迹搬上屏幕,在更广阔的范围内宣传田建国崇高的精神品质。十月二十二日,由陕西省委宣传部、宝鸡市委宣传部、西安龙成影视文化公司联合拍摄的四集电视连续剧《火凤凰》在英雄的家乡、陕西宝鸡凤县坪坎乡正式开机。
In early March 1995, a merciless forest fire swallowed Kong Fansen’s good cadre, Pingkang Township, Feng County, Shaanxi Province, party secretary and mayor Tian Jianguo’s life. The death of Tian Jianguo aroused great repercussions from the vast numbers of cadres and the masses. The stories about his deeds have been widely discredited in society. Propaganda Department of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and Propaganda Department of Baoji Municipal Party Committee decided to bring the story of Tian Jianguo onto the screen and publicize the noble spiritual character of Tian Jianguo in a broader context. On October 22, a series of four TV series “Phoenix”, jointly sponsored by Propaganda Department of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, Propaganda Department of Baoji Municipal Party Committee and Xi’an Longcheng Film and Television Company, officially started up in the hero’s hometown of Pingkan Township, Fengxian County, Shaanxi Province .
