全球性的生物事件都是由一定的地质作用引起的,而这些地质作用本身又往往为一些初始占主导地位的非生物事件或者某些影响深远的环境变化所触发。生物事件常与岩性事件一致,以一系列绝灭一辐射适应为特征。辐射适应可以解释为进化速率的加快,这是由于选择压力降低的结果。而分子水平的作用,即基因突变和重组的质量和数量并不发生任何变化。就这一点的生物意义来说,以达尔文进化论为基础的渐变论仍不失其有效性。
Global biological events are caused by a certain geological role, and these geological effects are often triggered by some initial non-biological events or some far-reaching environmental changes. Biological events are often consistent with lithological events and are characterized by a series of extinction-radiation adaptations. Radiation accommodation can be explained by an accelerated rate of evolution, as a result of reduced selection pressures. The role of the molecular level, that is, the quality and quantity of gene mutations and recombination does not change. As far as this biological meaning is concerned, the theory of gradualism based on Darwin’s theory of evolution is still valid.
