“燕奎”是从燕山板栗种质资源中实生选优获得的早熟丰产型新品种,母树为河北省迁西县汉儿庄乡杨家峪村一株80年生栗树。2005年12月21日通过河北省林木品种审定委员会审定并命名(良种编号:冀S-SV-CM-001-2005)。刺苞为椭圆形,苞皮厚度中等,平均苞重51.63g,内含坚果约2.52粒,平均出实率为39.68%;刺束中密,偏硬,斜生,黄绿色,长1.29cm;坚果大小整齐,椭圆形,深褐色,有光泽,平均单果重8.13g;坚果底座大小中等,接线月牙形,内果皮易剥离;果肉黄色,口感糯,质地细腻,风味香甜,平均含水量53.80%,可溶性糖20.48%,淀粉47.32%,蛋白质6.54%。
