在农民工的权益保障问题上,尽管国家和政府已相继颁布出台了一系列法规文件,但对农民工的权利伤害还是禁而不止。十多年来,“农民工”为国家的经济社会发展作出了巨大贡献,然而,他们的政治、经济、文化等等方面的权益却得不到应有的保障,这是社会的极大不公平现象。现阶段农民工的生存状况、遭遇的不平等境遇及其原因是什么,建立和完善农民工权益保障制度应从哪些方面入手,是本文重点探讨的问题。
