“既然人民选我当代表,我就不能辜负人民对我的希望和重托,努力为群众多办实事,当好人民群众的代言人。”这是长白县人大代表李江波在县人大代表表彰会上讲的一段话。李江波是1998年初当选为县十四届人大代表的。三年来,他时刻牢记着为选民服务的宗旨,始终注意发挥人大代表的作用,在每年人代会上都提出了许多比较有价值的建议,为长白的建设和发展做出了贡献。1998年,李江波在县公安局工作,当时,县公安局“110”报警服务台刚刚成立不久。他在几次随“110”出警办案中了解到,由于人民群众的信任,“110”得克服资金短缺、装备落后、人员不足的困难去解决一些业务范围之外的问题。

On several occasions, he learned from the “110” police handling case that due to the trust of the masses, “110” has to overcome the problems of lack of funds, outdated equipment and inadequate staff to solve some problems beyond its business scope.
