《中国语文》第二期登载了郑梅基写的一篇文章,他给予《现代汉语成语词典》很高评价。他就:“这本词典,无论从所收词目来看,从注解所表现的立场观点来看,或者从举例的思想性来看,都能反映出时代的面貌。”我曾把《现代汉语成语词典》从头到尾翻过一遍,得出的结论同郑梅基的看法恰恰相反。我认为,这本词典错误的条目比重相当大:有的选词不当;有的解释错误;有的语法混乱;甚至把一些只能用于解释特定历史社会现象的成语,作出泛泛的解释,造成谬误。可以这样说,《现代汉语成语词典》不是语言科学研究的产物,而是一本粗制滥造的书。就词典中错误的性质来说,带有政治性错误的成语
The second issue of “Chinese Language” published an article written by Zheng Meiji, who gave a high rating to the Dictionary of Modern Chinese Idioms. He said: “This dictionary, in terms of what it receives, can reflect the outlook of the times from the point of view expressed by the annotation, or from the example of the ideology.” I have put “Modern Chinese Idiom Dictionary ”turned over from beginning to end, reached the conclusion with the view of Zheng Meiji the opposite. In my opinion, the erroneous entries in this dictionary are quite large in proportion: some are inappropriately selected; some are misinterpreted; others are grammatically confused; and even some general explanations of idioms that can only be used to explain particular historical social phenomena have resulted in error. It can be said that “Dictionary of Modern Chinese Idioms” is not a product of the study of language science, but a crude book.
