本文旨在研究阿瑟·丹托论绘画与摄影的关系在艺术终结论当中的意义与定位。丹托认为绘画与摄影之间的问题,是艺术终结以来最后一个需要被比较讨论的议题。他生前出版的最后一本书《What Art Is?》(《艺术是什么?》)则尝试将艺术的界线运用哲学的逻辑与思维勾勒一个更清楚的范围。本文透过细读法(close reading),以书中第四章《The End of the Contest:The Paragone between painting and photography》(《竞赛的终结:绘画与摄影之间的对照》)为核心,以议题的方式处理丹托书写文本的脉络及欲探讨的主要问题。
The purpose of this paper is to study Arthur Danto’s significance and positioning of the relationship between painting and photography in art’s finalist. Danto thinks the issue between painting and photography is the last one that needs to be discussed and discussed since the artist’s conclusion. The last book published in his lifetime, What Art Is? (The Art?), Attempts to outline a clearer context of the boundaries of artistic use of philosophical logic and thinking. This article, through close reading, focuses on Chapter 4 “The End of the Contest: The Paragone between painting and photography” (The End of the Contest: A Contrast between Painting and Photography) Way to deal with the context of Danto writing and the main issues to be explored.
