夏甸镇隶属于拥有“中国金都”之称的山东省招远市。夏甸镇享有“物华天美、人杰地灵”的美誉。镇政府驻新村南,距离招远市区19公里东临毕郭镇,西接莱州市三元镇,北靠齐山镇,南与青岛莱西市接壤,总面积190.6平方公里,辖78个行政村,辖区总人口44663人。这里交通便利,东临烟台港,北临渤海湾龙口港,南靠青岛港,150公里内有3个国际性机场,可直达日本、韩国等地。2011年,完成地方财政收入2764.8万元;实现国内生产总值21亿元;完成固定资产投入15亿元,出口130万美元,连续10年被招远市委、市政府评为“先进镇”。
