固体核子径迹探测器的又一个应用是通过α粒子来确定矿物岩石中的低含量铀。工作中常用CR-39作探测器,按顺序用化学加电化学蚀刻方法,足以获得百万分之几之内(ppm)的铀含量,而不需要额外的活化或核反应堆。工作结果表明,与γ方法相比,本方法具有良好的重复性和精确度。就此意义而言,据初步工作,其结果是符合要求的。因此,本方法提供的结果适合于铀矿勘探以及测定岩石的铀含量。
Yet another application of solid-state nuclear track detectors is the use of alpha particles to determine low levels of uranium in mineral rocks. The CR-39 detector, commonly used in the work, is chemically and chemically etched in sequence, enough to get uranium contents in parts per million (ppm) without the need for additional activation or nuclear reactors. The working results show that the method has good repeatability and accuracy compared with the γ method. In this sense, the result, according to preliminary work, is satisfactory. Therefore, the results provided by this method are suitable for uranium exploration and determination of rock uranium content.
