江泽民同志“三个代表”的重要思想是对马克思主义建党学说的新发展，是全面加强党的建设的伟大纲领。“三个代表”重要思想是对党的性质、宗旨和根本任务的最新概括，回答了在充满希望和挑战的新世纪，中国共产党把自己建设成什么样的党和怎样建设党这一重大问题，是立党之本、执政之基、力量之源，具有鲜明的时代性、针对性和实践性。文章紧密结合不断变化的国内外新形势，对全面贯彻落实“三个代表”的重要思想，加强和改进高校党建工作进行了探索和研究。
The important thinking of Jiang Zemin’s “three represents” is a new development of the Marxist party building theory and a great program for comprehensively strengthening party building. The important thinking of the ’Three Represents’ is the latest summary of the party’s nature, purpose and fundamental task. It answers the major issue that the Chinese Communist Party has built itself into what kind of party and how to build the party in the new century full of hope and challenge It is the foundation of the party, the foundation of its ruling party and the source of its strength. It has distinctive times, pertinence and practicality. In the light of the ever-changing new situation both at home and abroad, the article explores and studies the important idea of “three represents” in an all-round way, strengthening and improving the party building in colleges and universities.
