我家住在太行山脚下,叫山王庄。著名的愚公移山神话就产生在这里。太行山是石头山,植被不好。而我家那段山上生长着一丛丛的杂树,树林中生活着一群群猕猴,古来与村民为伴,人们都十分喜欢它们。村里有位爱猴如命的老人,说来凑巧,老人姓侯,大家都叫他侯公,孩子们尊敬地称他为侯爷爷。猴子群居山林,每一群都有个猴王。猴王对群居的猴子有指挥权、保护权,生活上也有许多特权。猴王是竞争上岗的。
