基质金属蛋白酶 (matrix metalloproteinases,MMPs)是机体内细胞外基质降解的重要蛋白水解酶系统 ,它们参与组织的再造和器官的形成。其基因表达的异常可导致细胞及其基质中蛋白水解酶活性增强 ,造成一些病理过程的发生。本文着重介绍了 MMPs的生物学特性及其在骨基质降解和中耳胆脂瘤骨吸收发病机理中的作用。
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are important proteolytic enzyme systems for the degradation of extracellular matrix in the body. They are involved in tissue remodeling and organ formation. Abnormal gene expression can lead to cell and matrix proteolytic enzyme activity increased, resulting in the occurrence of some pathological processes. This article highlights the biological characteristics of MMPs and their role in the degradation of bone matrix and the pathogenesis of bone loss in middle ear cholesteatoma.
