平度是国务院确定的沿海对外开放城市之一,位于胶东半岛西部,北邻渤海,南近黄海,总面积3166平方公里,所辖45处乡镇,是山东半岛最大的县级市,也是山东著名的侨乡。自改革开放以来,平度发生了巨大的变化,全市国民经济和社会各项事业都取得了较快的发展。到1991年,全市社会总产值达到64.2亿元,国民生产总值达到26.1亿元,国民收入22.4亿元,工农业总产值59亿元,财政收入突破亿元大关,农民人均收入1044元。可以说,政治稳定,社会安宁,经济繁荣,文化昌盛,社会各项事业蓬勃发展,全市130万人民正满怀信心地步入小康水平。农业持续稳定发展,综合经济
Pingdu is one of the coastal cities open to the outside world determined by the State Council. It is located in the west of Jiaodong Peninsula, bordering Bohai Sea to the north and the Yellow Sea to the south, with a total area of 3166 square kilometers and 45 towns and villages under its jurisdiction. It is also the largest county-level city in Shandong Peninsula, Hometown of overseas Chinese. Since the reform and opening up, Pingdu has undergone tremendous changes. The city’s economy and all social undertakings have achieved rapid development. By 1991, the total social output of the whole city reached 6.42 billion yuan, the gross national product reached 2.61 billion yuan, the national income 2.42 billion yuan, the total output value of industry and agriculture 5.9 billion yuan, the revenue exceeded 100 million yuan and the per capita income of farmers 1044 yuan. It can be said that political stability, social tranquility, economic prosperity, prosperous culture and vigorous development of all social undertakings mean that the 1.3 million people in the city are entering the well-to-do society with confidence.
