山茶花(Camellia japonica L)是我国著名的十大传统花卉之一。我国不仅是山茶花的原产地,也是世界山茶属植物的地理分布中心。我省黎川、赣州等地有千年以上的野生山茶花树。目前乐平、进贤、南昌等地均有大量栽培。由于它的花期特长,花色艳丽,花姿多变,观赏价值很高,是园林绿化的优良树种,同时,也是国际花卉市场上的重要商品。
