Gastric sinusitis mixture III is a home-made preparation in our hospital. The prescription is an aqueous solution of gentamycin sulfate, anisodamine and ethyl hydroxybenzoate. It is mainly used for the treatment of antral gastritis. Anisodamine should show the differential response of tropane alkaloids [1]. However, we discovered during the development of quality standards that ethyl hydroxybenzoate interfered with its identification. 1 Methods and results were prepared separately, containing gentamicin sulfate and
