Due to the increased mobility of the designers of the microwave tubes, the continuous wave power of the traveling wave tube in the ku band exceeds 1 kilowatt and the continuous power in 100 gigahertz exceeds 100 watts, leaving the gyrotron producing a continuous wave of nearly 200 kilowatts at 140 gigahertz power.
