常德县许家桥回族维吾尔族乡,是党的十一届三中全会以后涌现出来的先进集体。该乡各族干部群众,思想解放,锐意改革,把发展民族经济放在首位。在不放松发展粮食生产的同时,着力发展乡镇企业,办了5个年产百万元产值以上的骨干厂矿;大力发展庭院经济和商品生产。工农业总产值,1987年比1984年翻了一番半,乡镇企业产值翻了两番半;1987年人平纯收入646元。连续三年被县委、县人民政府授予两个文明建设的先进单位称号,是1987年7月出席全省百乡(镇)经济振兴经验交流会的唯一的民族乡,受到省人民政府的嘉奖。今年,又经县和地区推荐、省政府批准,出席全国民族团结进步先进集体、先进人物表彰大会。本刊特将他们写的文章推荐给读者一阅,希望能对民族地区的经济发展有所俾益。
