杨瑞石是清末著名壁画大家,当时广府一带大型宗祠多请他去画壁画。但今天传说有杨瑞石壁画的祠堂虽有多处,但明确署名并未经修改扰乱的杨瑞石的壁画已很少见到。《传经图》这幅未经扰乱完整保存至今并能够确证为杨瑞石所画的壁画有重要的价值。杨瑞石这幅壁画《传经图》的认定,能够开启对沙湾清代岭南建筑艺术大师成就的整理和研究,为清代岭南文化提供清晰的一个注脚。
Yang Ruishi is the famous murals in the late Qing Dynasty, when the large ample shrines in the Canton area invited him to paint murals. However, although there are many ancestral temples with Yangrui Shishi murals today, the frescoes of Yang Ranshi, whose names have not been disturbed by revisions, have rarely been seen. It is of great value that the biography of the murals has been preserved intact up to now and can be corroborated as the mural drawn by Yang Ruishi. Yang Ruishi’s affirmation of this mural “Biography of Pictorial Materials” can open the compilation and study of achievements of Lingnan architectural masters in Shawan during the Qing dynasty, and provide a clear footnote for Lingnan culture in the Qing Dynasty.
