本文拟就近代中国海关英籍税务司贺璧理与19世纪末各主要列强对华所采取的“门户开放”政策的关系作一分析,以求进一步揭示旧海关在近代中国半殖民地进程中的作用。
This article intends to analyze the relationship between He Bi Li, the British Chinese Tax Affairs Commissioner, and the “open door” policy adopted by major powers at the end of the 19th century in China so as to further reveal the role of the old Customs in the process of semi-colonial China in modern China .
