他是一位农民,从小与土地、农作物打交道的日子,不仅让他体会到了广大农民的艰辛,也让他许下了为农民减负,为农民创收的愿望。他是一位老师,也是一位研究者,在河南农业大学任教期间,就已经着手研究植物生长调节剂,在国内首个成功地合成了复硝酚钠的主要组分,使得原本依赖于进口的复硝酚钠,在成本上大大降低。还出版了《植物生长调节剂应用技术》一书,系统地介绍了植物生长调节剂的应用。他是一位企业家,也是一位慈善家,在把企业做大的同时,不忘回馈社会,让企业的盈利与公益相结合,积极履行一个企业所应承担的责任。他就是郑氏化工的郑先福先生,大家一直亲切的称呼他为“郑老师”。
