The China Friendship Art Exchange Association (CFAEA), ratified by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, was set up in Beijing on August 19, 2010. Its leadership includes Honorary President Chen Haosu, President Li Xiaolin, Executive Vice President Luo Qin, Secretary General Xia Guozhu.
To develop calligraphy and painting and promote art exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries, the Institute of Fine Art Creation (IFAC) of the CPAFFC was founded in early 2009. It carried out several cultural exchange activities and created many valuable calligraphic and painting works for society. The CPAFFC has now launched the new association on the basis of the original institute to promote international exchanges in all forms of art and give impetus to art creation and development in China. By organizing exhibitions, cultural and art performances, forums, exchanges of visits, etc., the CFAEA will serve as a platform for Chinese calligraphers, painters, vocalists, dancers, musicians, film directors, actors and actresses, and artists of other art forms to show their talent and engage in exchanges and cooperation with their foreign colleagues.
The unveiling ceremony of the plaque of China Friendship Art Exchange Association was held on January 12, 2011. CPAFFC President Chen Haosu and Vice Presidents Li Xiaolin, Jing Dunquan and Li Jianping; well-known artists and leaders of art organizations Bai Shuxiang, Jiang Dawei, Shu Yi, Lan Tianye, Yao Zhuzhu, Ye Xiaogang, Li Yang, Fan Yang, Tang Wenhui, entrepreneurs and departmental heads of the CPAFFC, were among about 170 people present.
The CFAEA invited Ouyang Zhongshi, Shen Peng, Wang Kun, Bai Shuxiang, Jiang Dawei, Shu Yi, Lan Tianye, Yao Zhuzhu, Bai Xueshi, Huang Yongyu, Feng Yuan, Han Meilin, Zhang Hai, Liu Dawei, Yang Xiaoyang, Su Shishu, Luo Zhewen, Lu Yuan, Chen Duo, Yang Hongnian and Tian Zhuangzhuang to act as its art advisors; Ye Xiaogang, Li Yang, Wang Mingming, Zhao Changqing, Wu Changjiang, Fan Di’an, Lu Yushun, Fan Yang, Tang Wenhui, Pu Cun- xin as honorary vice presidents; and Zhang Jinfei, Lam Kin Chung, Zhang Yunkui, Wan Zikun, Zhu Min, Wei Junkang were also appointed special advisors. CFAEA Honorary President Chen Haosu and President Li Xiaolin presented certificates to all those taking on a role in the organization, as well as entrepreneurs giving financial assistance to the IFAC and CFAEA.
