Banchi village is South Korea’s compression of the industrialization process of the times. The residents of Bancun are free from the edge of the city and are a special group different from the “city people” and the “country people”. They face the impact of urban civilization, but the traditional social values and values are still evident in them. They still retain the inertia of the local community in their life. The villagers in Banzi village have not completely taken part in the rural social order, In the system of state power, there are contradictions or conflicts within the residents and tend to rely more on the invisible mechanism of “civil regulation ”. These characteristics have been collectively reflected in “Banzi Village Diary” and are an inevitable transitional stage for Korean society from “old normal ” to “new normal ”.
