从1995年API出版物目录看,一年来油田装备标准变动面相当大,计有初版新标准8项,修订新版标准45项,增补标准1项,共54项,约占油田装备标准总数的三分之一。有的修订版与前版比较变化很大,特别是APISpec Q1《质量纲要规范》第5版与第4版比较,基本上是全部重写。有一部分标准,经修订后,其标准名称也与前版不同。这些修订新版,虽然其多数前版已定为美国国家标准(ANSI),但与初版新标准一样,还未定为美国国家标准。另一方面Bu11、11L2、11L3、11L4长期沿用1969、1970年标准,1994年中又重新认定了。上述标准分类列表如下:
