聚落是人类各种形式聚居地的总称,它包括乡村聚落与城市聚落两大部分。聚落作为人类适应、利用自然的产物,是人类文化与文明的结晶。从时间上来看,又可分为史前聚落、夏商聚落等等。聚落研究的方向与目的,是充分利用考古学的材料和手段,探讨古代人类居住、生产、生活状况,以及当时社会组织与结构和人与人之间、人与自然之间的关系。许顺湛先生《豫晋陕史前聚落研究》一书,便是研究史前时期中原地区聚落发展演进轨迹的专著。许顺湛先生是我国著名的史前考古专家,故宫博物院原院长、中国考古学会理事长张忠培教
Settlement is a collective term for all forms of human settlement, which includes two parts: village settlement and urban settlement. Settlement as a human adaptation, the use of natural products, is the crystallization of human culture and civilization. From a time point of view, can be divided into prehistoric settlements, Xia Shang settlement and so on. The direction and purpose of settlement research is to make full use of the materials and means of archeology to discuss the living, production and living conditions of ancient people and the relationship between social organization and structure and people, man and nature. Mr. Xu Shunzhan’s book “Research on the Prehistoric Settlement of Henan, Shanxi and Shaanxi” is a monograph on the study of the trajectory of settlement development in the Central Plains during the prehistoric period. Mr. Xu Shunzhan is a famous prehistoric archaeological expert in China. Zhang Zhongpei, former president of the National Palace Museum and chairman of the Chinese Archeology Society
