俄罗斯《哲学问题》杂志编辑部1993年就“书籍问题”举行了一次“圆桌讨论会”,各方面的专家学者济济一堂,围绕着“荧屏时代书籍的命运”这一议题,各抒己见,畅所欲言。近年来,人们对严肃书籍的兴趣下降了,惊险小说、侦探故事、科幻作品乃至黄色下流的东西却畅销不衰。另一方面,人们尤其是中小学生在电视机前消磨的时间越来越多了。对于这种现象,学者们见仁见智,从不同角度发表了自己的看法。往日常见的大话、套话、空话、假话不见了。与会者抱着知无不言、言无不尽的态度,或长篇大论,或三言两语,共同探讨,互相切磋。总之,是说“真话”。《哲学问题》1994年第7—8期以“书卷气是一种文化现象”为题,发表了这次“圆桌讨论会”的材料。现摘要译载如下,以飨读者。
In 1993, the editorial department of “Philosophy” magazine of Russia held a “roundtable discussion” on “the book issue.” All kinds of experts and scholars gathered together to express their opinions and speak their minds around the topic of “the destiny of books in the era of screen age”. In recent years, people’s interest in serious books has dropped. Thriller stories, detective stories, science fiction works and even yellow obscenities have not sold off well. On the other hand, people, especially primary and secondary school students, spend more and more time in front of the television sets. For this phenomenon, scholars have different opinions and expressed their opinions. The past common words, sets of words, empty talk, lie disappeared. Participants hold the knowledge of all, endless attitude, or long story, or a few words, to discuss and learn from each other.
