《机械设计基础》是高职院校工科类中一门重要的专业基础课程,其特点一是专业覆盖面广,知识点多而散,涉及机械制图、公差、金属热处理、机械制造等多个科目知识点;二是该课程综合能力要求高,不仅要求学生掌握扎实的基础理论知识,更注重学生实践能力以及延伸拓展到要具备一定机构设计理念和技能。所以,该课程的教学目标就是培养学生掌握基本的机械结构、机械传动以及典型零部件这些基础性知识,以及从这些基本知识的有效掌握的基础上,具备简单机械结构、运动方案构思与设计的创新思维;而这是一个能力拔高与提升的过程与最终目的的实现,这就对课程教学方法与手段是一种考验。而在有限的教学时数、有限资源、学生知识构架缺失的现实不利因素下,如何将《机械设计基础》课程中所涉及的较抽象、深奥的知识讲明白,让学生理解、掌握及应用,在教学方法上要深入探索!
