Eucommia leaf is a good quality forage with both active pharmaceutical ingredients, the purpose of this study is to study Eucommia leaf nutrients on sheep digestion and utilization, growth performance and slaughter performance. Thirty healthy sheep, aged and similar in weight and body weight, were randomly divided into 3 groups (10 sheep per group): control group (basic diet without eucommia leaves, CTL group), low level Eucommia ulmoides leaves group (EUL1 group, 10% EUL1 group) and high level Eucommia ulmoides leaf group (EUL2 group, which contained 20% diets) were fed and digested and metabolized. The results showed that the addition of different levels of eucommia bark had significant effects on the final weight, weight gain, feed intake and daily gain of sheep (P <0.05), but had significant effects on the digestibility and sedimentation rate of energy and nitrogen (P <0.05), and had no significant effect on the digestibility and deposition rate of calcium and phosphorus (P> 0.05), but had significant effects on the slaughter rate and carcass net meat yield (P <0.05) Bone weight, flesh and meat than no significant effect (P> 0.05). Thus, eucommia leaves on sheep digestibility of nutrients, utilization and growth performance and slaughter performance have a significant impact, the extent of influence and the amount of Eucommia leaf.
