The South-to-North Water Diversion Project is a large-scale public welfare project of water diversion across the river basin. Its planning and demonstration work has been for more than 40 years. In recent years, with the intensification of contradictions in the water shortage in the north, it was mentioned by the Central Party Committee and the State Council as an important agenda.
