在现代科学领域,材料被列为三大支柱之一。21世纪,高性能、多用途的先进材料将会更加显示出它强大的推动力,继续成为科学和工程研究的重点。材料科学技术的发展水平及规模,已成为衡量一个国家科技进步、综合国力的重要标志。随着科学技术和国民经济的发展,高分子材料已经渗透到各个领域。功能高分子材料是一类具有光学、电磁学等功能的高分子材料,是高分子材料渗透到电子、生物、能源等领域后,开发涌现出的一种新型材料。它诞生于20世纪60年代, 在工业、农业、国防、信息行业等领域具有较为广泛的应用。北京理工大学是国内较早开展高分子材料研究的单位,在谭惠民等一批专家,学者的带领下,他们已取得了一系列丰硕的成果。作为材料科学与工程学科的首席专家,谭惠民教授几十年来一直孜孜于材料研究。他像一位材料的魔术师,花样百出,在材料领域不断“变”出新成果。不论是在特种材料还是在高分子材料方向,谭教授都留下了自己清晰的足迹。
In modern science, materials are listed as one of the three pillars. The level and scale of the development of material science and technology have become an important indicator of a country's progress in science and technology and overall national strength. With the development of science and technology and national economy, polymer materials have penetrated into various fields. Functional polymer materials are a kind of macromolecular materials with functions of optics and electromagnetism. They are new materials developed after the penetration of polymer materials into the fields of electronics, biology and energy. It was born in the 1960s and has a wide range of applications in fields such as industry, agriculture, national defense and information industry. Beijing Institute of Technology is the earlier unit of research on polymer materials in China, under the leadership of a group of experts and scholars such as Tan Huimin, they have made a series of fruitful results. As the chief expert in materials science and engineering, Professor Tan Huimin has been studying materials for decades. He is like a material magician, tricks, constantly changing "new achievements in the field of materials. Whether in specialty materials or in the direction of polymer materials, Professor Tan has left his own clear footprints.
