美国化学会编印“化学丛书”之一,“土壤化学”一书,于1955年在美国土壤杂志(Soil Science)总编辑F.E.Bear主编之下出版。这本共分“土壤发育”“土壤化学成分”“土壤胶体化学”“离子代换”“土壤有机质”“土壤对植物养分的固定”,“土壤中氧化还原电位”“酸性土、钙质土、硷土及盐土”“微量元素”以及“土壤化学与植物营养”十章。这十章内容是由十二位专家,各就所长分别写成的,总的看来这些专家们对本书的要求在认识上并不一致,而且在编写过程中彼此交换意见似乎也不够。因此不仅文章的详略大有不同,并且在物理化学和土壤矿物等的基本理论上,也有不少叙述得重复的地方。现在我们把每章予以个别的分析。
The American Chemical Society publishes one of Chemistry Books, Soil Chemistry, which was published in 1955 under the editor-in-chief F.E.Bear, chief editor of Soil Science. This is divided into “soil development,” “soil chemical composition,” “soil colloid chemistry,” “ion substitution,” “soil organic matter,” “fixation of soil nutrients to plants,” “redox potential in the soil,” "acid soil, , Alkaline Soil and Saline Soil, Trace Elements and Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrition. These ten chapters are written by twelve experts, each written separately by the director. In general, these experts are not aware of the requirements of the book. They do not seem to be exchanging opinions during the preparation of the book. Therefore, not only are the details of the article very different, but also in the basic theories of physical chemistry and soil minerals, there are also many places where narration is repeated. Now we give each chapter an individual analysis.
