麻风的流行是人群与麻风菌相互斗争的结果。在一定的自然及社会因素影响下,麻风依人群免疫状况呈程度不等的流行。在开展防治的条件下,灭病过程有着一定的阶段性。文献中对麻风防治工作进展的规律性探讨较少,而对防治阶段之划分,有助于防治实践,为此,试参考广东澄海县的曲线来探索一下。由于麻风的慢性过程及若干问题尚未突破,还不能在短期内将它完全消灭。在目前二级预防的水平上控制传染源必然是一个漫长的历程。
