赣化2号系江西农业大学用IR24为母本、献党1号为父本,通过化学杀雄配制成的杂交组合。七十年代中期引进我省准南稻区试种,曾出现过亩产1,300—1,400斤的田块,但产量表现不够稳定。我县于1981年开始进行高产栽培,1981—1983年县农业局和朱堵农科站在同一田块进行高产栽培,连续3年获得亩产1,800斤以上的产量。其中1981年1.265亩,亩产1,882.3斤;1982年1.154亩,亩产1,819.2斤,1983年1.102亩,亩产1,925.08斤。在高产栽培的同时,进行了赣化2号的高产生育特性、分蘖消长规律、叶面积变化动态、千物质积累与分配、穗粒协调关系及其调控技术等方面的探索研究。
