在美丽的滨海城市厦门,我结识了率团参加首届中国外商投资企业出口商品交易会的上海市副市长赵启正。赵副市长的举止言谈无不透着学者的气质,一问,果然是位搞专业技术的人士。50年代他学的是核工业,毕业后从北京到天津转辗到上海,风风雨雨几十年,当过工程师、厂长、书记……在就任副市长之前曾任上海市委组织部长。说到这,他风趣地说,“我当组织部长就是想跟大家广交朋友。”一句幽默的话,就缩短了我们之间的距离。一群北京来的记者们七嘴八舌地包围了他。
In the beautiful coastal city of Xiamen, I met with Zhao Qizheng, the deputy mayor of Shanghai, who led a delegation to participate in the first session of the China Foreign-invested Enterprises Export Commodities Fair. Zhao’s deputy mayor’s demeanor is full of scholars’ temperament. When asked, it really is a person who engages in professional technology. In the 1950s, he studied nuclear industry. After graduating from Beijing to Tianjin, he turned to Shanghai. After decades of ups and downs, he worked as an engineer, factory manager, secretary, etc. Prior to his appointment as deputy mayor, he served as the organization minister of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee. Speaking of this, he said wittyly, “When I am the head of organization, I want to make friends with everyone.” A humorous word shortens the distance between us. A group of reporters from Beijing surrounded him in a rush of words.
