This article describes a method for the determination of praziquantel by high pressure liquid chromatography. The sample preparation of this method only needs one-step extraction with ethyl acetate, and the operation is convenient. The seven-ring derivative of praziquantel is used as the internal standard. Praziquantel was determined by this method with the lowest concentration of praziquantel as 2.5 ng / ml human or mouse serum
