令世界瞩目的中国盆景艺术历史悠久,流派纷呈,风格独特,融诗、画、书等文化艺术于一体,堪称世界艺术的瑰宝。为了满足五大洲从事盆景(盆栽)艺术的朋友们观摩、研讨中国盆景艺术的愿望,经中国盆景艺术家协会、中国国际文化交流中心共同商定,并经中央主管领导机关批准,定于1991年5月20日在北京举行首届中国国际盆景会议。会议除进行盆景技艺交流外,还要举办盆景造型艺术表演、盆景精品展览,并拟邀请各国艺术家到各地进行观摩游览。
Chinese bonsai art, which attracts worldwide attention, has a long history, colorful schools and unique styles. It integrates arts and culture with poetry, painting and books. It is a treasure of the world art. In order to meet with friends from all over the world who are engaged in the art of potted bonsai (potted plants), the desire to discuss the art of Chinese bonsai was jointly agreed upon by the Chinese Association of Bonsai Artists and the China International Cultural Exchange Center and approved by the leading authority of the Central Government. 20th in Beijing held the first China International Bonsai Conference. In addition to meeting the bonsai skills exchange, but also held bonsai modeling art performances, bonsai boutique exhibitions, and plans to invite artists from around the country to visit.
