科主任是医院为实现其目标、功能,完成其任务而设置的。是医院最基础、最重要的管理者。因此,科主任的工作十分艰巨和复杂,因为科主任不仅是学科带头人,而且是科室的管理者,不断地努力实现科室功能,向社会提供专业服务,保证科室的服务质量,培养专业人才,提高技术水平,促进学科发展,提高学术地位,创造两个效益。为达上述目的:①明确目标;②健全制度;③合理分工;④适当激励;⑤博采众长。而且应有全方位的管理意识:即服务意识、质量意识、整体意识、创新意识、竞争意识、效益意识、民主意识、法律意识。在工作中坚持用好职权原则,并且处理好与院的关系、重点与一般的关系、两个效益的关系
