锦鲤的原始品种为红色鲤鱼,是由鲤鱼变异而来。一百多年以前由日本人发现这种变种鲤鱼,经过人工改良为绯鲤,初期称为“色鲤”、“花鲤”,二战以后始为“锦鲤”。 锦鲤是一种大型的观赏鱼,它以雄健的躯干、光润的色泽、边缘清晰的图案件以及鱼体上特有的花纹而深受人们的喜爱。然而,锦鲤之间的变异性很大,品种特征和稳定性不如其他动物那样稳定,因此,给锦鲤质量高低的评价带来了一定的困难。一般情况下,评价锦鲤主要从以下几个方面:
